Dissociative Disorders & The Normalcy of Fragmentation:
An Experiential Workshop for Therapists
Live Webinar: May 10th, 2024
About This Webinar:
Mental health providers who work with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, non-epileptic seizures and other related conditions are likely also working with clients who struggle with dissociation to varying degrees. This specialized training teaches clinicians how to work within the creative capacity of many clients who have relied on dissociation to cope with their history while simultaneously encouraging clinicians to employ their own capability for innovative work. The workshop offers participants an experiential opportunity to learn about internal multiplicity as a normal human experience, and working creatively with dissociative disorders.
Key Learning Objectives:
-
Screening for Dissociation: Gain proficiency in screening techniques to identify dissociative symptoms in clients accurately. Learn to recognize subtle indicators and assess the severity of dissociative experiences.
-
Standard of Care for Treatment: Identify and implement evidence-based interventions and best practices for the treatment of dissociative disorders. Enhance your understanding of ethical considerations and treatment guidelines to provide optimal care for your clients.
-
Utilizing Creativity in Treatment: Explore the correlation between dissociation and creativity, and discover how to integrate imaginative qualities into your therapeutic approach. Unlock new pathways for healing by tapping into the creative resources of both clients and clinicians.
-
Normalizing Differentiated Ego States: Learn to normalize the concept of differentiated ego states within all individuals, promoting empathy, understanding, and acceptance. Enhance your ability to navigate the complexities of internal multiplicity with sensitivity and compassion.
